CAPACCIO’s Dr. Wayne Bates to conduct sustainability roundtables in November Reply

Customers demand it. Employees expect it. Wall Street investors look for it. The “it” is sustainability, which you may know of by one of its other names: corporate social responsibility, corporate responsibility, environmental sustainability, or sustainable development.

The elements of sustainability —economic prosperity, social well-being, and environmental stewardship—hold growing importance to customers, employees, investors and regulators.

Many well-run companies have been operating in a sustainable manner for years because it’s good business. Today, global corporations such as Wal-Mart and IBM are requiring their suppliers to do the same. If you’re not already fielding questions from your customers and employees about your sustainability efforts, get ready. It’s only a matter of time.

So where can you turn to get critical information about best practices in sustainability? Join Associated Industries of Massachusetts (AIM) for two new Sustainability Roundtables in Central and Western Massachusetts this November.

Facilitator Wayne Bates, Ph.D., P.E., Vice President at Capaccio Environmental Engineering and an adjunct professor at Worcester Polytechnic Institute, will provide practical insights for your company to consider in pursuing or refining sustainability initiatives. This forum will provide an exchange ideas and best practices with colleagues from across Massachusetts.
